  7. Stainless-steel or galvanized siding nails
  8. Board for the water table

Steps to Install the Boards

  1. Before installing the vertical boards, attach a skirting board that’s wider than the siding boards.
  2. To build the skirt, start by placing the board at the bottom of your house, where you’ll be adding siding. Make sure it’s level before moving onto the next steps.
  3. Once the skirting board is level, do three nails every 18-24 inches
  4. Now, it’s possible to install the drip edge. You can use a piece of metal flashing to do this.
  5. After this step, you will next install boards with siding.
  6. Start at one corner of the house, put a board flush against the wall, and make sure it’s plumb.
  7. When your board is secure, place nails at the top and bottom of the board.
  8. Apply nails every 18 to 24 inches along the length of the board
  9. And after that, measure the space in between the boards.
  10. To install the next boards, do what you did with the first one. Keep going until you reach the other corner of your house.
