Wild animals on the city streets – Photography

| September 13, 2013 | 0 Comments

Have you ever imagined how our cities could look like, inhabited only by animals? Finnish photographer Mikko Lagerstedt did, and he did not stop at imagining. He has created the “Night Animals” photo series, showcasting wild animals taking the empty city streets at night.

The photographs have an eerie, dreamy look and they make you feel like fantastic stories come to life. You might even not be that surprised if some of the animals start talking. It is the photographer’s merit to have created such live, intriguing landscapes and to mix animal life in them so well that it seems natural.

The procedure itself used by Lagerstedt to create the photos is an interesting one: he overlaped two photos he did himself, one of the animal and one of the empty streets, slightly lighted by a dim light, that seems taken out of a fairytale.
